Corn oil consists of saturated fatty acids ,monounsaturated fatty acid and polyunsaturated fatty acids. But it contains a larger percentage of polyunsaturated fatty acid.

To explain this, Corn oil contains 13–17% saturated fatty acids and Its main fatty acid is linoleic acid at 55–62%(which is a polyunsaturated fatty acid)followed by oleic acid at 22–28%(which is a monounsaturated fatty acid). Its unsaponifiable content is high at 1.3–2.3%, which is in line with its high tocopherol content.

Due to the reason that corn oil contains much more unsaturated fat than saturated fat ,then it can be said to contain mainly unsaturated fat.
