Beaker A contains a strip of nickel in aluminum sulfate and beaker B contains a strip of aluminum in a solution of nickel sulfate. What happens to each beaker?

According to reactivity series of metals, aluminium is more active. Hence, aluminium will substitute nickel from its salt, while nickel will not substitute aluminium.

The answer - nothing will happen in the beaker A and aluminium will turn to nickel in the beaker B.

2Al+3NiSO4=Al2(SO4)3+3Ni
