Question #198782

Maria Christina Falls is a Plantita she makes sure that all her plants are well hydrated. One hot afternoon Christina noticed that one of her plants seems so dry and needs to be hydrated, so she decided to water that plant. However, later that she has noticed that the leaves of the plant she watered was wilted, and the plant eventually died. Now, what do you think is the cause of the plant death. Look closely in molecular level to identify and explain the reasons as to why it happens to Christina’s plant. Consider or relate the concepts in General Chemistry II in giving answers to the question.

Expert's answer

The plants eventually die in this case because a reason for this can be given that plant must have been kept in dry place there is no source of light there or sunlight can not directly come to that area or there can also be that plantita must be watering the plant in a wrong way , or we can say that to much of fertiliser has been added in the plant poor drainage is also responsible for that or old potting soil has been added and other reason for that also is that that bacteria , fungi , and will kill the plant if it remain untreated . The most common signs of overwatering are wilting leaves and a pot that feels heavy due to soggy soil . over watering a plant can cause the roots to rot .
