Rate equation will be of different different kinds. Rate equation may be of zero order, first order, second order, pseudo order or "n^{th}" order . These rate equations are different from each other because power raised on concentration of reactant will be different to order by order.


Reaction rate is calculated using the formula rate "= \\dfrac{\u0394[C]}{\u0394t}," where "\u0394[C]" is the change in product concentration during time period "\u0394t" . The rate of reaction can be observed by watching the disappearance of a reactant or the appearance of a product over time.
