Dynamite is an explosive and it mainly consists of stabilizers and nitroglycerin. A very strict rules and markings are made on the transportation vehicle of US DOT (Department of Transportation). The placards help in identifying the hazardous materials as it is a bigger sign which in made on the transportation vehicle in which the explosives are carried. According to Dyno Nobel, a list of safety measures has been provided for the transportation of the explosive materials from one place to another. This mentions that an orange colour diamond shape design should be embarked on the transportation vehicle so that people get aware that the vehicle is containing explosives. The text written on the placards must be in English so that people can read and understand it. The placards must be in the front and at the back of the vehicle. Pictogram must also be used so that people can identify it from a longer distance. It should also meet all the standards set by The Globally Harmonized System of Classification and Labelling of Chemicals (GHS).
