The equation of reaction in the presence of oxygen is given below:

CaCO3 + SO2 + ½O2---> CaSO4 + CO2

From the balanced equation,

64g of SO2 reacts with 100g of CaCO3

2.70tons of SO2 will react with 100g/64g x 2.70tons = 4.22tons of CaCO3
