how to recycling waste cooking oil? is there any chemical to change dark color cooking oil to golden yellow color?

We use cooking oil to prepare everything from Thanksgiving turkey to sauteed vegetables to salad dressing. But considering it poses havoc to drains and our sewage pipes, you want to avoid pouring it down the drain.

I think you may take yellow layer and try to test run by using GC to identify either it is glycerol or oil or FFA.
