Question #168810

In research, it has been found that millions of bottled mineral water contain benzene (C6H6) at molarity levels higher than concentrations considered lethal for rats. A sample of a 250ml mineral has a concentrations of 0.000151 M. What is the mass of benzene in the sample?

V=250ml

C=0.000151M

Molar mass of benzene= 78g/mol

Mole= mass/molar mass = C xV

Mass= C x V x molar mass

= 0.00015 x250/1000 x78

Mass= 0.0029g
