During light-dependent part of the photosynthesis the following reaction occurs: 6CO2+12H2O+light -> C6H12O6+6O2+6H2O As result of this reaction two important compounds are formed: ATP and NADPH. During light-independent part of the photosynthesis ATP and NADPH are used tofix carbon dioxide and to release carbohydrates: 3CO2+6NADPH+5H2O+9ATP -> Glyceraldehide-3-Phosphate+6NADP+ +9ADP+ +2H++8Pi
