Object example and justification of peroxisomes
The peroxisome is a membrane-bound organelle located in the cytoplasm of eukaryotic cells. The structures are involved in the oxidation of very-long-chain fatty acids, branched fatty acids, biosynthesis of plasmalogens, bile acid synthesis, and oxidation of D-amino acids and uric acids with the production of hydrogen peroxide. Peroxisome enzymes use hydrogen peroxide to oxidize formic acid, phenols, alcohols, and formaldehyde.
