Eukaryotic cell cycle consists of interphase and mitosis but. However, in more details it has four phases. First phase is G1 or Gap 1 phase. During G1 mRNA and proteins are made. Second phase is S or Synthesis phase. During S phase DNA is replicated. Third phase is G2 phase. During this phase rapid cell growth and proteins synthesis can be observed. Finally, last phase is M or mitosis, which is basically cell division.
