Answer to Question #31561 in Molecular Biology for Thenuka U
How can we see the DNA in a cell?
We can detect DNA using ahistochemistry assay. Gallocyanin stain is considered to be a specific stain for nucleic acids. Nuclear DNA and RNA and cytoplasmic RNA stain blue. Compared with other basic dyes, gallocyanin binds strongly with nucleic acids. You can see DNA in cell also in the forms of chromosomes using microscopy.
