1) First reason: alchohol or coffee. These liquids may decrease temperature by influencing on blood vessels and centre of thermoregulation. Second reason: some viral illnesses. Third reason: active sweating and wet clothes.

The centre of thermoregulation will activate and produce pyrogens to start processes to increase temperature.

2) The intravenous fluids must be isotonic to prevent a concentration changes in blood. If it is a hypotonic fluids it will cause hemolysis of red blood cells. If it is a hypertonic solution it will cause a cell death. It is dangerous because it destroys a gas transport.
