A parasite is an organism that lives in, on, or with another organism to collect nutrients, develop, or proliferate often in a way that harms the host directly or indirectly

Example is a tick and cow;

A tick is an arthropod parasite that lives on the skin of their animal hosts and in this case a cow.It survives by consuming the blood of the cow.This interdependence between a cow and a tick is called parasitism and the parasite here is the tick while the cow is the host.While not fatal to itself a tick has the potential to carry and spread more than 10 different pathogens to a cow
