Nutrient is a substance used by an organism to grow, survive and reproduce. There are six major nutrients which are used by the living organisms to provide energy, building blocks for repair and growth and substances necessary to regulate chemical processes are carbohydrate, lipids, proteins, vitamins, minerals and water. Carbohydrate is made up of carbon hydrogen and oxygen, protein is made up of amino acids so it can be concluded as biomolecules as these are formed of different atoms.
