Answer to Question #21394 in Biochemistry for Lamina
why we need different types of proteins in our body?i mean why not only one protein(e.g myosin) performs all functions in our body?
Human organism needs the variety of proteins for exact functions. For this purpose the different structures and shapes of protein are important. Moreover, one protein can not function with the same effectiveness in the different conditions (pH, temperature etc.). That is why for correct work there is protein specialization in our organism which supports our body with reliability and flexibility in functioning and interconnection among the proteins.
