Discuss the role of the family as a social institution
The family has multiple roles as a social institution. One of the roles is providing basic needs. Family members are given food, shelter, and clothing, enabling them to survive. It also provides love and affection, especially for children. The way family members give love and receive affection determines how they will socialize with people. The personality of a person slowly develops due to this. Another role of a family is reproduction. Children are given birth from a family, and consequently, the world is populated, human race and societies are formed.
