The event happened on Monday night through Tuesday, where attendees did not wear masks or observe social distancing. Returning back to normalcy shows the norm of socialization that is prevalent in humans.
Nigeria bans twitter activities in the country after Twitter deleted a post from Nigeria’s president Mohamed Buhari’s tweet. Trump’s ban from using Facebook has been extended to 2023. Twitter claimed that the tweet seemed offensive. The reaction by Twitter shows the values and norms that they expect their users to follow. Therefore, whether the country banned the app from being used or not, fact remains that (according to Twitter), Buhari had gone against their values and norms. The same thing applies to Donald Trump being banned from using Facebook.
Vaccination of covid-19 in the UK, US, and India targets health workers and vulnerable communities. This shows the values that the countries uphold. Targeting those who need the vaccine more is the desirable and fair approach. Norms and values were also the reason why the price of bitcoin went down. Tesla Company owner Elon Musk stopped buying Tesla raw materials using bitcoins because it led to increased mining activities which degraded the environment. Though the issue of environmental pollution has been an example of how human beings have fallen short of their value to the environment, the measures taken by Elon Musk show how the norm that humans should follow. That the right behavior is to safeguard the environment.
