The Zimbardo experiment wanted to examine whether or not individuals would obey the prison or correctional officer social roles when put in a prison environment. According to Zimbardo, he experimented to find out whether the personality traits of the two groups were the leading causes of abusive prison behavior (Bottoms, 2014). The decision ABC is about to make is a good move. It is so because this will be the first step to solving their issues. Also, including one member will be necessary. According to Zimbardo, humans readily take the social roles they often need to play, more so if the roles in question are stereotyped. In this case, including an individual from the employee union will join and take their role seriously as expected. It may also help the management understand the best way to solve the existing issues between the two groups.
