Functionalist perspective on deviance argues that it occurs due to the dysfunction in any part of social structure; for instance, depression or suicidal tendency may happen due to weakening interpersonal relationships in family bonds among the people. In dysfunctions, society strives for betterment and stability; therefore, remedies and causes are discovered. The conflict perspective explains conflicts in the individuals of the oppressed class towards the dominant class. This will, in turn, deal with the class oppression and behaviors of deviance related to it. The individuals belonging to the objurgated class feel they are being discriminated against and exploited by the dominant class. Therefore, this creates conflicts and tensions among the people, giving rise to many sociological and physiological issues in the community.

The integrationist perspective explains the behavior of an individual concerning their surroundings. This perspective explained the information of self-identity and concept in a person relating to the interpretation that they take of the people's behavior with whom they interact. This perspective is best as explaining an individual's behavior in a social situation.
