It involves meeting and getting to know people who you can assist and who can potentially help you in return. Nowadays, most achievements are achieved through people, since jobs, opportunities are shared with people who then share to their networks. Through interacting with people, you will keep a pulse on the job market, stay in touch with current trends, and meet prospective clients, partners, and mentors. Besides developing and improving your skill set, networking gives you access to the resources necessary to foster your career development. Personally, I got a job via my networks through my friend who connected me to his friend.
