Toxic and traditional cultural practices add up to women's suffering thus resulting to violence in the patriarchal context. Ad a result, this has forced women to renegotiate their position amidst the church's opinion on women and their formal social responsibilities. Firstly, the church perpetuates gender inequality through gender stereotyping which has been in existence since creation in the sense that women are perceived as inferior beings. Notably, Eve was made from and for Adam. Further, the church perpetuates gender inequality by teaching the creation and fall stories in the book of Genesis in an effort to double bind women.... As a remedy for this gender inequality in the church context, the church has the major role to redefine gender duties the tamper with the equality and justice of women. Therefore, the church must put strategies in place to confront women's equality. Also, the church must confront its opinion on gender inequality so as to bring equality of both men and women under the church context.
