with the growing acceptance of transgender, intersex, and homosexual people do you think society needs to expand our "binary categories of male and female" to include a third, fourth or even a fifth category? got any suggestions?

The society needs to expand the binary gender identities of male and female to include all other categories since they feel neglected from the society, making their classification hard to recognize. For instance in sports, a transgender individual may be rejected by the sport department or disallowed to compete as either male or female due to his/her gender orientation. When the gender categories are expanded to accommodate such individual, they would live a happy life like any other person in a binary male-female category. Although I have no personal suggestion of this groups, but referring to them as LGBT would be appropriate to recognize them in society.
