Inter group relation is a term taken to mean inter group contact, friendship or interaction at a broader concept. they include groups with different beliefs, knowledge, and evaluation concerning social groupings. The need for this understanding in sociology, is due to rise of conflicts among groups which results to wars and other forms of violence. Relatedly, inter-group brings forth aspects of maltreatment and other forms of injustices, for instance inequitable distribution of resources due to tied group membership. Inter- group therefore, is focused on integrating different people into a closer proximity in eradication of race and ethnicity, economic differences, gender discrimination, understating of different cultural orientations and sexual orientations. Thus, inter groups relations and attitudes brings positivism and continues to bring significant challenges for humanity.
