Knowledge of organizational development, attitudes, career development, and human performance, among others, is critically important in providing solutions to problems. Through industrial psychology, one acquires specialized knowledge that will help solve a problem with expertise. Industrial and organizational psychology helps to solve industrial issues such as recruitment, selection, placement, training, development, performance assessment, and workplace motivation, among many more. Application of industrial psychology knowledge ensures improved work ethics and, therefore, profit maximization.
