Explain the difference between a child “internalizing” and “externalizing.” Then relate these different tendencies to depression and eating disorders – (e.g. if one is internalizing depression – what does that look like? If one is externalizing depression, what does that look like?). Boys are more likely to externalize, and girls are more likely to internalize (as a group) –why do you think this is the case?
