In 1911Taylor published "the principles of scientific management". In this he proposed that by optimizing and simplifying jobs, productivity would increase. He also advanced the idea that workers and managers need to cooperate with one another. He also advocated for high pay for high performing employees. He advocated for scientific management in the work place by analyzing the work processed, defining and deleting tasks, using of employees skills, offering incentives an then establishing a professional hierarchy.
