The German army had not made enough preparations for such a responsibility considering that the German generals being very apprehensive of the risks of having its military cross the sea.The German dropped some bombs on London civilians which led the British to retaliate leading a bombing raid on Berlin. British fighters shot down the German bombers with ease. The ‘Blitz’ was to cause several deaths and much hardship for the civilian populace.
