Cartesian suspect is a systematic process doubting the truth of one’s beliefs. Descartes argued that the propositions derived from senses are suspect because people understand that some of their experiences are wrong, and they are aware that other experiences are right. Consequently, they have to rely on other sense experiences. Descartes believes that doubts build the foundation on which to establish a new system of indubitable beliefs.
