The geocentric model (also known as geocentrism) is a superseded description of the Universe with Earth at the center. Under the geocentric model, the Sun, Moon, stars, and planets all orbited Earth. The definition of common sense refers to having sound judgment, not necessarily based on specialized knowledge. So, the idea of a geocentric universe appear to be a matter of common sense, because it seemed to be true for Middle Age people, as there was no possibility to think in another way without any serious scientific research with the use of telescope, and it was also supported with Christian religion.
