System theory of public relations can be used to coordinate the planning and execution of your public relations activities with other sectors and sections of society since public relations professionals need to assess their environment, intended goals, activities, and input from stakeholders and publics to make the required organizational changes to fit within the environment and achieve a target state of equilibrium. System theory is collected of the interconnected parts that adapt and change towards changes in the macro-environment. System theory explains how public relations help understands and manages an organization's relations with its stakeholders and the public who make up its environment. Concepts discuss ways to increase the efficiency of public relations for both administrations and the social order. Theories help us understand the connection between acts and events. Systems theory specifically encourages the spirit of cooperation among the key stakeholders of an organization.

When deciding how to develop a successful connection with their public, public relations professionals consider numerous theories. Systems theory is vital in coordinating the overall planning and aftermath execution of public relations activities within and without the setup of an organization. The theory embraces cooperation among the participants, including the larger society.

System theory spreads a mechanism through the open system for the organization to accept a mechanism that can enable it in planning and bringing together all the public relations activities in order to accomplish the anticipated goals or objectives.
