The primary implication of the perishability of services for channel design is that the channel need to be designed in a way to maximize sales service revenue with minimal exposure to the target market. As is the case with other products, this is because unpaid services can not be bundled together and sold on the next day (Hole, Pawar, & Bhaskar, 2018). The channel is designed to connect those who provide the service as efficiently as possible to those who wish to obtain the service.
