There are different types of relationship in the transport value chain. This are the relationships that exists between the stakeholders; which can be defined as working relationships. Most can prefer this working relationship between suppliers and customers to be partnership. But calling business relation partnership does not make them so. Moreover, there are certain limits that this partnership between stakeholders can be adequately maintained. Unfortunately, we cannot have relationship whatsoever with everyone in our supply chain.
The robustness of stakeholder relationships in transport value chain is based on maintaining high-trust, high-communication, and having a mutual interest with key suppliers and
customers irrespective of their relationship status. Therefore, creation and development of a healthy and positive relationships are essential in transport value chain success.
