The factory is surrounded by farmland, and many of the manufacturing workers have ancestral land here. In most situations, the workers' living patterns are consistent with the joint family arrangement. For various reasons, I believe that production at our facility has never met management's expectations. One of these is high absenteeism since manufacturing workers stay at home during the agricultural season to cultivate their property. There is no food shortage because the factory worker is also a farmer, and his factory job provides him with liquid cash. Because he is not solely reliant on factory wages, the factory worker relaxes, resulting in a scenario of chronic absence in the workplace. The company also installed a fruit processing plant in the same factory area about six years ago. This unit's jobs are seasonal, meaning it only operates at total capacity during the fruit-growing season.
