Due to the ongoing pandemic, management found that the company is underperforming and that overhead costs are too big. As a result, the organization considered attrition-based downsizing to improve performance. This is known as corporate downsizing, which is described as a reduction in the size of a company and its operating costs to improve efficiency, productivity, and competitiveness. However, the corporation would have to complete the same projects with fewer employees than before the downsizing. As HR boss, i would ensure that I get the best out of this strategy while minimizing its disadvantages. By reducing the jobs, I will be able to remove obsolete positions and thereby lower headcount. I would take care of this matter professionally by calling a conference with all involved.

          Redesigning the job would mean eliminating redundant tasks, resulting in vacant positions. The empty positions will be filled through redesigning, and the duties will be transferred to another position. Functions will be removed, positions will be revamped, operating hours will be cut, layers will be de-layered, and departments will be combined. I will be able to strengthen the organization's system by approaching the structure. I would like to see some cultural improvements that would save money in the long term. This has the positive consequence of increasing productivity, which most employees appreciate. The results will be long-term rather than short-term. The emphasis will be on providing excellent customer support, which will contribute to increased profitability. During a global crisis or financial distress, this strategy would be successful. As a result of the pandemic, I will respect workers' ethics, get stuff done quickly, and deal with any legal problems during layoffs. The plan will save the company, promote transparency, retain staff, and strengthen partnerships.
