A negative attitude leads an individual to focus on the bad and ignore the good in people, events as well as situations. I had an experience with a professor whom I believed was too hard on me. Since I thought she graded me too strictly as she hated me. As a result of this, I disliked the subject and would not concentrate while she was teaching. It even reached a point that I would not attend some of her classes and never did enough research on her assignments. Since I thought that, even if I researched well, she will still grade me poorly. It was one of my friends that finally made me understand that it was her nature to be keen on every student's work. After realizing the mistake was in my attitude, I changed and started performing better in the subject.
