Performance system is the systematic approach used in the workplace to measure or determine the level of performance among the employees. Many employers or organizations introduce performance systems with the aim of meeting certain goals. For example, if the level of performance or quality of products and services has reduced, a strategy to improve such challenges is designed and implemented in the organization. The implementation of a strategy has different phases starting from training until the assessment and evaluation. Performance systems fall under the assessment and evaluation stage, where the effect of the strategy on the organization is tested to determine the next steps. The performance systems will show if the quality of products has improved or rate of performance among the employees has improved as compared with the previous levels before introducing changes. In a situation that changes and improvements have been experienced after implementation of performance systems, the next step in devising ways of maintain and even improving the strategy. If the level or performance or quality of products and services did not change or still poor, the organization might consider making some improvements in the strategy or considering changing it and bring new strategy in place.
