Using 5S to bring a Positive Change to an Organization

An organization that intends to make a positive change can apply the 5S technique. The 5S stands for sorting, setting, shining, standardizing, and sustaining. First, the organization needs to sort everything that is not needed in the workplace, to be left with only the beneficial materials. Second, the organization is supposed to set the remaining materials in an orderly manner based on their relevance. Third, the organization should be shined through thorough cleaning to give it a new look. Fourth, the organization is supposed to standardize everything by developing ways that sustain the practices conducted in the first three steps. Lastly, the organization needs to stick to the new practices that have been introduced from the first step. Engaging in these practices gives an organization a positive change.
