Trompenaar's Dimension of Culture
As a hired consultant is expected to analyze company XYZ's culture, I will apply seven steps developed by culture dimensions. The first step, Universalism versus Particularism to determine to treat all cases similarly and determine relations ship between employees. Apply Individualism and Communitarianism to explore whether workers are working as teams or individually. Use Affective and neutral to determine to explore whether employees tend to share emotions or not. I will employ diffuse versus specific to determine how people connect their lives with the job of keeping their lives as separate entities. Apply ascription versus achievement to determine how employees are given positions based on working to obtain them or given through their look. Use Synchronous versus Sequential time to determine how work is done in the organization regarding time management. A final look at external versus internal environment determines whether workers believe they can control the environment or work within the environment demands to achieve their goals.
