 Managerial roles are segmented into information category, interpersonal category, and decisional category. Under the decisional category, we have entrepreneurship, as a manager, one should create and control change within an organization. This means solving problems, generating new ideas, and implementing them. Another managerial role under decisional is that the manager is the negotiator. A manager may be needed to take part in an important negotiation within his organization hence his decisions have effects on an organization 

Another category of a managerial role is the interpersonal category under this we find that a manager is a figurehead, as a manager, you have social, ceremonial, and legal responsibilities. You're expected to be a source of inspiration. People look up to you as a person with authority, and as a figurehead. Under the interpersonal category, we get that a manager should be a good leader This is where you provide leadership for your team, your department, or perhaps your entire organization; and it's where you manage the performance and responsibilities of everyone in the group.

Finally, we have the informational category, under this, we find that a manager is a monitor, in this role, a manager regularly seeks out information related to his organization and industry, looking for relevant changes in the environment. He also monitors his team, in terms of both their productivity and their well-being. He is also a spokesperson for an organization. Managers represent and speak for their organization. In this role, they're responsible for transmitting information about your organization and its goals to the people outside it.
