The Difference between Decision Making Process and Strategy Development Process

The decision-making process has its base in the identification of a particular problem. After identification, the management starts working to determine the primary origin of the problem. The strategy development process entails the definition of both short and long term objectives. After the definition, identifying the main process that will lead to the accomplishment of the goal is done. Finally, each employee is allocated a task to perform to help in the achievement of developing the strategy.

The decision-making process depends on the necessary information available to the right persons and at the right moments. On the other hand, the strategy development process occurs when every individual in an organization is in a position to understand the real strategy that is about to be implemented.

The decision-making process concentrates more on the main problem at hand while as, the strategy development process focuses entirely on the implementation of the strategy.
