The word millennial is an adjective derived from the term millennium. Millennium can be described as duration of exactly one thousand years. These years are counted from a baseline that was traditionally adopted from the time Jesus Christ was born according to Christian theology. The year two thousand (2000) marked the millennial year that most people in the present witnessed. On the other hand generation in regards to this context refers to a group people that are either given birth at the same time or with a considerate close year of birth, raised within a common era, growing into adulthood to give rise to offspring’s together usually within an average year of thirty years. The millennial generation is, therefore, a compound word derived from two words that are millennium and generation.

Millennial generation can, therefore, be described as group people that are born approximately ten years before the millennial year, which is the year two thousand (2000). People who belong to this millennial generation are born between the years the 1980s and 1990s. This group of people very dynamic and have always shown a recommendable response to technological advancement. The millennial generation has also been associated with other unhealthy moral values and indeed they are more diversified with a lot of societal technicalities ranging from fashion to technology.
