Did the actions of Pol Pot and The Khmer Rouge have a greater effect on the way of life of Cambodian people living in urban or rural areas? Did the rural Cambodians loose all their land to the Khmer Rouge?

The actions of Pol Pot and The Khmer Rouge had greater a large part of the rural population in this regard was forced to leave its lands and homes.  These actions affected the way of life of Cambodian people living in rural areas for they were formers but forced out of their lands. Therefore, the rural population in Colombia suffered great effect under the actions of Pol Pot and The Khmer Rouge. The rural population lost their land to the Khmer Rouge as they were evicted by and their properties destroyed by Khmer Rouge fighters. In addition, they also managed to destroy their land records, thus making them lose the evidence of their respective land possession.
