External tension/Conflict
European states restricted the importation of American movies to encourage theirs locally; thus, affecting the market for the production of the film in Hollywood. The introduction of television also had a negative impact on Hollywood films. Peopled could spend time at home and watch their favorite movies either locally or internationally broadcasted; thus, few individuals could watch movies at the cinema.
Internal tension/ conflict
In 1945 there was an increase in labor conflict as unions struck several studios that were in operation. Meanwhile, the skilled writers, directors, and actors began to split into a vocal group along with political lines leading affecting the movie industry in Hollywood.
