Mao Zedong and Mahatma Gandhi are major leaders of Long March and the Salt March events in history, they are known for their distinct political views. Mao in China and Gandhi in India commenced revolutions that totally shaped both countries. Despite the contrasting reputations they had both similarities and differences in their political views. As for the similarities, they both preferred imperialism, supported women's rights and social classes. Differences included views toward violence, and some differences in viewing social classes. On the basis of what was mentioned, I would take the side of Gandhi who is notorious for being against the use of violence.
