African post-colonial integration initiative was formed after the Second World War to deliver African countries from the yoke of colonialism. The initiative was also aimed at advancing the development of African economy that was ailing and struggling after the Second World War. However, the initiative failed to achieve its predetermined goals, and this is evident through the undemocratic rule, heightened corruption and instability in most African countries. Such issues is a clear indication that the integration initiative did not succeed in uniting African countries and strengthening their economies.
