When I read the term "Black Revolt", what comes to mind is black unrest or uprisings as a way to fight for Blacks' full freedom owing to systemic racism and violation of Blacks' civil rights, atrocities that have marked the past centuries.

The term suggests the Haitian Revolution of the 1790s in French territories, Nat Turner's slaves rebellion of 1831 in Virginia, the Sharpeville Massacre of 1960 in South Africa, the African-American Civil Rights Movement in the US that gained momentum in the 1960s and the recent Black Lives Matter movement that began in 2014 among others. Black Revolts are grounded on a history of enslavement of Blacks, systemic racism, racial violence profiled on Blacks, denial of civil liberties and exclusion from national resources among other injustices.
