British colonization of China had an impact on today`s China. Following the colonization, China had to pay high compensation amounts for years because of the treaty they entered with the British. Nevertheless, the colonization also helped resulted in the formation of one china as we know it today. As for Japan, its interaction with the western world resulted in the emergence of Catholicism by the Portuguese and the bringing of other innovations, such as gun powder and guns. Subsequently, the France colonization of Congo was brutal and humiliating. Congolese were made to be slaves and offered cheap labor in the construction of roads and railway tracks. The result was many deaths of Congolese people due to unsatisfactory conditions, such as diseases and starvation. The colonization of Congolese people resulted in exploiting its natural resources by foreign nations, a trend that continues up to today and thus continued war in the country.
