There exist contestation over the equality between men and women in this community. On one hand the woman assumed most critical roles in commercial consultations. On the other level shows how vague and susceptible to undesirable assumptions from European approaches were toward the Khoikhoi. However, they rested on both slaves and Khoikhoi for numerous supplies of human survival.
