Robert McNamara commissioned the study of The Pentagon Papers, the United States. The study exposed that four consecutive presidents had in effect lied about America's participation in Vietnam. The Pentagon Papers discovered that the United States of America had behind closed doors distended the scope of its activities in the Vietnam Warfare with the terror campaigns of neighboring Cambodia and Laos, coastline attacks on North Vietnam. And Marine Corps assaults that were at no time documented in the mainstream media.
